We are looking for a Wholesale Senior Manager - Commercial to be based at our head office in West Yorkshire.
In this role you will design and implement Wholesale pricing process and governance; being responsible for consistency of cost information from all input sources including Morrisons manufacturing, core trading and direct supplier negotiations and subsequent conversion into wholesale pricing.
A key focus of the role is on insight, accuracy, consistency, controls and timeliness. Ultimately, the role will ensure Morrisons is a competitive
Wholesaler and optimises its sales and profit opportunity and reduces exposure to risk with all pricing decisions conscious choices.
Accountabilities of the role include:
Customer
Delivery of accurate pricing information and insight on a timely basis through the systems, processes and ways of working introduced, to meet customer expectations
Colleague
Develop strong relationships to allow you to influence the Morrisons teams across Finance, Wholesale, Manufacturing and Trading
Liaise with Convenience Trading team to ensure wholesale benefits form the best possible trading terms (including promotions) and ranges
Operational
Design, implement and maintain a process and way of working for this new area. Setting up a set of standards that govern our pricing
Prepare information for a weekly wholesale cost price report and then chair the weekly cost price meeting, to be attended by CFO
Put control and integrity of costs at the heart of all decisions made
Inform the trading team to enable the negotiation of best pricing and ranging for wholesale with the external supply base
Work with trading team on effective promotions planning
Sales, Profit and Cash
Support delivery of annual targets on sales, profitability, debtors and stock holding
Ensures pricing is able to compete on a level footing across branded and own brand goods in this market place alongside other wholesale businesses
