Technology Specialist - Windows Server & Active Directory in Bradford

We are currently recruiting a Technical Specialist (Windows Server Platforms and Infrastructure) to join our Windows Server Team at our Head Office in Bradford. 

The successful candidate will use expert technical knowledge to maintain the functionality, stability and availability all of all aspects of the Windows Server and Citrix Infrastructure environments within the Morrisons estate.

You will also be required to investigate any other Windows Server related incidents which are passed through to the team and ensure that SLA’s are adhered to.

As a Technical Specialist within our Windows Server Team, you will:

• Produce and own Windows Server designs. This includes High Level Design documents, Detailed Design documents, build and test documents.
• Implement designs, including prototyping, build and unit testing, support to integration, packaging, test, trials, and live running.
• Act as the technical lead for all Windows Server related incidents, problems, projects and changes.
• Engage in technical problem solving across multiple technologies; often needs to develop new methods to apply to the situation
• Monitors infrastructure capacity and initiates actions to resolve any shortfalls according to agreed procedures.

To be successful in this role you must be a Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist 2008 and have the below:

• The ability to demonstrate expert technical knowledge and skills with Windows Server Operating Systems and Microsoft Active Directories in large, complex organisations
• Practical experience of a similar role
• An excellent understanding of all aspects of Citrix Xen environments and Netscalers is essential
• Excellent communication skills are required as is the ability to convey complex technical terminology to a non-technical audience.
