A two-day Careers Course covering the various employment opportunities and training options available in horseracing.
You don't need to be a jockey to enjoy a rewarding career in horse racing and we hope to dispel the myth that you need to ride in order to be part of the action. Our two-day Careers Course aims to provide delegates with an overview of the careers available within the breeding and horse racing sectors from respected individuals employed within the industry.
Britain is one of the largest Thoroughbred breeding industries in the world, supporting over 19,000 jobs and contributing £427 million annually to the GB economy. It ranks amongst the world's best for breeding with some of the best broodmares and stallions based in this country.
The course will combine practical advice on the industry training options and career opportunities with external visits, which include the behind the scenes visits to renowned operations such as Cheveley Park Stud and Godophin's rehabilitation yard based at Hamilton Hill.
Run by the Thoroughbred Club, the social, educational and professional club for young people, the course is open to all 16 to 35 year olds with an interest in the horseracing industry, our Careers Course will be held on 13 – 14th November 2018 at Tattersalls, Newmarket, with places FREE for TTC members.
