About The Role

We’ve got a fantastic job for a Quality Auditor - Bread to join our Wakefield Manufacturing Site. Reporting to the Shift Manager - Technical, you will monitor, control and audit the production process focusing on food safety and quality; ensuring that conformity and non-conformity are communicated and solutions are implemented using coaching and problem solving methods.

The role is working 4 on 4 off (2 days and 2 nights).

Requirements of the Job

As a Quality Auditor - Bread you will ensure that the sites legal status as a supplier of a major retailer. You will audit process and procedures applying any corrective action where non-conformance is found. You’ll investigate any food safety incidences applying route cause analysis and ensure that the day to day site technical function is achieved. You will support the site management team during any external accreditation such as BRC and Morrisons manufacturing standards and ensure that the site production is supported during the launch of any new product lines. You will coach the site teams to support Quality improvement and develop best practice to support a Quality culture.

About You

You’ll need a keen eye for detail and the confidence to challenge with a proactive and ‘can do’ attitude. You will be a team player and an effective communicator with good PC skills including Microsoft office. You will also have food experience in a technical or similar type role. Ideally you will have a HACCP qualification or a food safety qualification. You will need to be able to coach and support the site teams.

About The Company

About our Wakefield Manufacturing Site

Our current production at Wakefield contains 6 plants but this will soon to rise to 8 plants. We currently produce 1,200,000 sliced loaves, 1,000,000 baguettes, 2,000,000 rolls, 600,000 muffins per week!!  We have just opened our Naan and Pitta Line. The new plant will house our Crumpet and Pancake line! We have over approx 40SKUs and we are the only bakery in the Morrisons family.
