Events Sales and Community Manager (3 months Internship) in London

If you'd be excited to gain work experience in Social Media Communications, Events, Sales, and Real Estate, whilst growing your own personal business network, then read on! Holborn Property Meet, the fastest growing property club in London in 2017, is looking for a Sales and Community Manager to be responsible for the monthly event sales. The ideal candidate should be a self-driven and social person looking to gain experience in the events organisation, social media, and real estate fields. You'd be given online and social media sales training but will be expected to be someone able to work independently and drive sales targets by trying out systems such as growth hacking, viral share, targeted advertising, and direct messaging.

5 - 25 hours per week
Between £0 and £500 Per Month

What are you going to do:

Out of this 3 month internship (which can be extended to 6 upon mutual agreement) you will gain direct sales and online Community management experience. You will also be able to grow your own invaluable network leveraging our established brand.

This position, as well as the experience gained from it, will be of great help in building up a strong CVs for a career in this field. The skills and connections you'll obtain will also support you for life, regardless of whether you'll end up pursuing employed or self-employed positions.

This is NOT a fixed-salary position, however a form of compensation based on sales commission can be arranged at the beginning of the collaboration, which will be regulated as with a freelance-client relationship with yourself as the freelancer. Most of the work for this internship can be done remotely.

The tasks related to this role include:

  • Manage the HPM Social Media: Facebook Page, Facebook Group, Linkedin, Meetup, Whatsapp Group
  • Grow and engage the HPM Community using the means stated at point (1)
  • Run the weekly and ad-hoc email campaigns (including writing about content leads sourced by the team as well as independently researched Property News)
  • Grow the establishment of the HPM brand
  • Contact potential sponsors
  • Sell HPM tickets to ensure 50+ attendees at each monthly event
  • Run independent researches on ways to improve sales numbers
  • Bring up findings about research and suggestion using team management channels

What we ask:

  • At least finished college A levels
  • Marketing

  • IT literacy
  • 2 years experience in MS excel or equivalent
  • 2 years experience in MS Word or equivalent
  • 2 years experience in MS PowerPoint or equivalent
  • Experience in either sales or customer relations (not necessarily professionally)
  • Passion for Real Estate, Business, and Investments
  • Use of Social Media for the purposes of promoting
  • Experience in writing adverts
  • Experience sending professional communication
  • Proficiency in English

Extra information

You should have a positive attitude, outgoing personality, enthusiastic about connecting people to build your own network through developing ours. Innovative approaches on new ways to attract more people to the event and run the marketing campaigns more successfully will be always appreciated in this role.

Experience in Social Media and Communication is a must, although not necessarily in a professional position. Some experience with event organisation and a personal interest in property and real estate are highly desirable. Interest in and knowledge of online and direct sales, growth hacking, viral growth, and social media marketing are also very desirable. The single most important skill of all is having a strong can-do attitude.
