We have an excellent opportunity for a Procurement Manager to join the Procurement function at Hilmore House in Bradford, West Yorkshire. Your responsibilities will focus on providing products and services for our Procurement team, helping to reduce costs, enabling us to reinvest and build for the future.

Our Procurement team supports making core supermarkets strong again by delivering the right “products” for customers and colleagues. With relevant experience in packaging procurement, effective teamwork and strong retail market knowledge, you will:

• Source new suppliers and work with the existing supplier base to deliver best value across all category spend from end to end

• Maintain Supplier & Stakeholder Relationship Management, ensuring all opportunities to reduce cost, maintain continuity of supply and improve service are identified and implemented

• Deliver the Corporate reductions on packaging reduction as part of Morrisons packaging pledge

• Support the implementation of new products across our Manufacturing sites and Retail stores.

• Have a strong understanding of industry leading practices including the role of technology and best practice sourcing  processes

• Understand the operational standards of working in a Procurement role including contracting, legal compliance, Grocery Suppliers Code of Practice, corporate social responsibility and other regulatory requirements

• Understand how our stores operate and always consider this when managing the category

• Negotiate well with suppliers, lead a supply base and do the right thing for our customers and business.

• Have experience of working in a fast paced environment (ideally in the Retail/FMCG industry) with the ability to hit tight deadlines
