The Communication officer will also have to complete tasks for MCA Properties, which has recently been set up to provide luxury rooms for professionals and interns.

What are you going to do

Since 2010, MCA Languages

has provided engaging and interactive English language courses to students from all across Europe. The academy has not only been a destination for students since its creation, but also a leader, a friend, a guide and a family
member that has accompanied students on their learning journey.

To complete our team, we are now looking to recruit a new Communication officer to come and join our existing team of hard-working individuals from October to December and from January to June. The Communication officer will also have to complete tasks for MCA Properties, which has recently been set up to provide luxury rooms for professionals and interns.

This position is an UNPAID position for those who wish to gain skills or to complete a work experience. Although, some our interns are doing French tutorials for MCA Languages a few times a week which are PAID (it can vary depending on the learners' availability). We are looking for a Communication officer working full time at our reception in Manchester and, from 9am-4pm, with a break between 12-1pm. It will be 3-month internship minimum. The length could potentially be increased. The Communication officer will need to bring their own laptop.

We are looking to recruit a Communication officer with the ability to:

  • write blog articles, create content and update website and social media
  • promote the businesses locally and internationally
  • arrange viewings for potential tenants or students
  • engage with tenants or students
  • organise events
  • engage with local demands about the business
  • take part in meetings
  • create partnerships with potential organisations/schools
  • manage social network
  • take pictures

Essential, you will need to have the ability to:

  • master social networks + wordpress + other digital tools are essential
  • have a good level of English
  • have good interpersonal skills
  • be creative, organised
    and have an eye for detail
  • have good orientation sense
  • ability to use Microsoft office (word, power point, excel)
  • work on your own two feet

Desirable but not essential, you will be able to:

  • speak other languages (French for the French tutorials)
  • translate various
    materials in one of these languages (Spanish, Italian, French, German)
  • have experience of travelling and living abroad
  • have the ability to create an online buzz
