H&M Project Manager
 
The H&M Construction Department is recruiting a Project Manager to Lead, manage and complete construction projects with a high level of professionalism, according to brand standards and local legislation.
Your Responsibilities will include:
 
Leading and Developing
  • Plan future projects and maintain balance between long and short-term goals
  • Proactively monitor business risks and act on them
  • Manage & strengthen communication between internal and external stakeholders
  • Share best practice with colleagues, including a project review summary
     
    Project Life Cycle
  • Work according to the 5 step process. Update internal systems weekly
  • Negotiate & secure H&M shell specification template and demarcation list
  • Present business case with workgroup for pre-approval, secure data quality before approval & signing
  • Act as main contact person between the design team, contractors and Landlords
  • Liaise with consultants and authorities in order to receive all necessary permits
  • Know the local regulations and requirements, such as permits and CDM regulations
  • Work according to the LEAN methodology, execute DTM and CPM meetings
  • Keep H&S top of mind and start each site meeting with this topic
  • Complete all interior and building works by PC. Secure a full handover of the premises.
     
    Profit and Loss
  • Estimate gross investment & budget with Construction Manager and Business Controller.
  • Keep project investments within budget
  • Ensure invoices, contracts and memos are handled according to Approval Limits & Power of
    Attorneys
  • Secure proof of payment of Landlord contribution from Lease Manager
  • Plan, prepare and execute internal audit and final invoices.
     
    Tendering and Contracting
  • Secure building contract is signed and released
  • Benchmark quotes against agreed unit rates to secure the best price
  • Qualify & procure partners according to guidelines.
  • Secure that contractors and partners are complying with governmental Health & Safety and H&M standards
  • Evaluate tender results (together with Construction Manager & Business Controller) and formulate your recommendation to the management
  • Manage contractors through tendering, LEAN planning and negotiation of costs
  • Feedback KPI scoring results to Construction Manager and Controller, take action to review with GC
     
     Skills and Qualities
  • Have previous Construction or Project Management Experience
  • Possess strong Leadership qualities
  • Work well under pressure and demonstrate flexibility
  • Work to deadlines with attention to detail
  • Flexible to travel across the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland
