Job description

To develop, manage and deliver existing Wings for Life and third party events, maximising fundraising and awareness for the charity. To take a creative and entrepreneurial approach to expanding the event portfolio, driving the potential of our target areas of Formula One, Cycling and E-Sports.

  • Events

     

    To lead, develop and own the strategy and business development plan for events year-round

     

    To develop, manage and deliver major fundraising events, ensuring a premium and unique supporter experience.

     

    Third party events, joint ventures and Red Bull regional, national & global events where Wings for Life is the benefitting charity, ensuring excellent planning, on-the-day delivery and post-event follow up

     

    To meet ambitious income targets and achieve significant growth

     

    To expand the event portfolio searching for new event opportunities, pitching for and winning either the partnership or beneficiary position.

     

    To support the Partnerships Manager and Supporter Development Manager with supporter and cultivation events, taking on the event detail management and leaving them to focus on the relationship development.

     

  • General

     

    Heading up the Wings for Life UK marketing/social media strategy, liaising closely with Wings for Life international, whilst collaborating on and delivering a weekly plan.

     

    To deliver weekly updates to the team on our financial income whilst converting this data into a transparent supporter view saved on the database.

     

  1. Experience of working across a wide variety of events, including, but not limited to, fundraising events

  2. Excellent relationship management skills

  3. Excellent planning and organisational skills

  4. Success in implementing new ideas to maximize potential

  5. Confident communicator

  6. Creative and innovative thinker, willingness to ‘do things differently’

  7. Energy, enthusiasm and passion for what you do

  8. Experience in developing communication and marketing plans for events

  9. Able to work under pressure in a fast paced team environment

  10. Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently

  11. Proactive about chasing new opportunities

  12. Driven by achieving financial targets & results

  13. Able to work as a strong team player who’s flexible to support the team

  14. Educated to University Degree level

  15. The role is a fixed term contract for 12 months from Nov/Dec 2018 – Nov/Dec 2019.
