We’ve got a great opportunity for a Technical Analyst - Systems - (Food Safety)to join our Flaxby manufacturing site. Reporting to the Site Technical Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating the internal audit programme for the site, providing technical advice and guidance to ensure Morrisons’ standards for quality, safety, statutory compliance, corporate social responsibility and integrity are achieved, and business and commercial improvements are delivered.
Requirements of the Job
Working in our Technical team you’ll be responsible for facilitating the external audits (BRC, Red Tractor & Pest Control). You will develop and maintain the site food safety and quality management system, company policies and procedures to ensure product quality, safety and legality is to the Morrisons standards; liaising with all relevant departments / key stakeholders with respect to quality and food safety. You will manage document control and the continual update the Quality and Food Safety Manual, in line with BRC and Morrisons standards, relevant scheme standards and legal requirements.

You will have knowledge and understanding of Technical Systems from a food manufacturing perspective and be ideally degree qualified from a relevant science, manufacturing, chemistry, engineering, business or a closely related discipline. You will have a good working knowledge of all accreditation standards and relevant food safety legislation. Although not essential, having a lead assessor qualification would be beneficial, and significant experience of internal auditing is a must. You will have an appreciation of the safety, legal compliance, compositional quality aspects of products and authenticity in the defined area, and a clear understanding of their related technologies coupled with specialised technical manufacturing knowledge, preferably in produce. Ideally you will have HACCP level 3 and Food Safety Level 3. You will be expected to deputise in the absence of the Site Technical Manager.
