Technology Analyst - Virtualisation in Bradford

We’ve got a fantastic job for a Technical Analyst - Virtualisation to join our team in Bradford on a full time permanent basis. Reporting to the Technology Manager - Virtualisation, you will be integral part of the Virtualisation team; working alongside other platforms teams, you will have good communications skills, and work well within a team, whilst being able to work through and manage your own time and workload.  Good analytical skills, and a a drive to succeed are essential.

The role will involve day to day management and remediation of both the central and distributed store VMware estate under the guidance of Technology Specialists; delivering on new project requirements when required and ensuring the platforms provide a stable environment for our store, manufacturing and logistics colleagues helping them to provide the best possible customer shopping experience.

Future opportunities to improve the customer experience by implementing automation technologies will be key to help Morrisons fulfill its Agile ambition; along with the opportunity to diversify into other key technologies will be available.

You’ll need skills and experience like this;

• Experience of virtualisation including VMWare ESXi and vSAN technologies

• Experience in scripting languages like PowerCLI (Powershell), Python

• Experience of working within a large Enterprise would be advantageous

• Exposure to HPE/DELL server infrastructure

• Exposure to other Virtualisation and Cloud Technologies would be advantageous

• Experience of working in a similar role is highly advantageous

• An appreciation of ITIL Principles, Change Management, Service Management

• Confident communicator with a 'can do' attitude

• Analytical with a great eye for detail
