Job Title: Positive Behaviour Support Lead (Social Care) – Yorkshire – North East
Hours: 30 hours per week
Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum (pro rata) Negotiable
Our client is one of the UK’s leading providers for support services in community settings for people with diverse and often complex needs, supporting approximately 800 individuals in Yorkshire and North East England.
Following the promotion of their current Positive Behaviour Support Lead, they are looking for a highly motivated and experienced social care manager to continue to develop and grow their services.
As a Positive Behaviour Support Lead (known within our clients business as a Complex Needs Lead), you will be responsible for undertaking functional assessments, providing advice and guidance to their locality teams to develop positive behaviour support plans with customers who have complex needs, in line with organisational, NAPPI and BILD requirements.
You will also design and deliver training to our staff in respect of positive behaviour support, so you must be confident in engaging and interacting with a range of people using a variety of communication strategies.
Previous experience of working with people with complex needs, in particular, complex behaviour, is essential, as is experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams. You will also have a demonstrable working knowledge of social care regulation, policy implementation, quality standards and best practice.
A recognised qualification in PBS that meets the standards set out in the PBS Competence Framework is desirable., however, if you have sufficient experience but do not hold a qualification, you are still encouraged to apply.
There is an expectation that you would work towards completion of such qualification within two years of appointment, financial support will be given to undertake an agreed qualification.
There is a requirement to travel as you will be supporting their operational teams across all their client’s localities in the Yorkshire and the North East regions.
You will need access to a vehicle that canbe used for work purposes with a full valid driving licence, together with the ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the role. The office base is currently at our Head Office in Harrogate; however this can be negotiated for the successful candidate.
