We are looking for an assistant to start with us immediately in the Press Showroom.
This is an amazing opportunity for someone looking to start their career in PR to take on an entry level role within our UK press department. The successful applicant will be based in the H&M London Showroom 8.30am- 5.30pm, Monday-Friday.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Responsible for the merchandising of the press showroom and day-to-day upkeep.
•Manage press call-ins and send outs including samples, image and price requests.
•Monitor editorial fashion clippings.
•Compile press reports, weekly monthly and collection-specific.
•Build and maintain great working relationships with editors and stylists.
•Work closely with influencers building strong relationships and securing organic collaborations.
•Gain coverage (smaller news stories) and product placement with key titles.
•Initiate appointments and ongoing contacts with journalists/stylists.
•Ensure databases are kept up to date.
•Be involved in all showroom events (open house, press previews, designer collaborations).
REQUIREMENTS
•Preferable to have a qualification in fashion/media/marketing but not essential.
•1+ years experience in a similar role or internship.
•Keen interest in the fashion industry.
•Excellent communication and relationship building skills, including creative writing.
•Structured and organised working manner – to multitask on multiple projects at one time.
•Self-motivated and proactive attitude.
•Must be available to work stated hours and be London based.
•Flexibility – out of hours events may take place during your placement.
•Be a performer or over-performer in your current role with motivation to develop.
