WALTER AND MONTY "GRILLED MEATS AND CLEAN GREENS"
After a range of successful street food ventures across London and the UK we settled our butchers board, love of healthy food and fresh salads in a space that was originally designed to be store room for a skyscraper in the Square Mile.
We changed the destiny of this perfectly formed little unit with some creative and high end interior design, from installing our beautiful white marble counter to hand sculpting a raw concrete cocktail bar. In went the grill and on went the 2.5kg Picanha (Irish Rump Cap from our neighbours at Smithfield) and Walter and Monty had its first permanent home right at the foot of the Gherkin.
That was 2 years ago and since that day we have consistently grown in customer numbers, positive feedback and fun times to be a much loved and trusted lunch spot for the hard working folk of the financial heart of London.
Serving a range of grilled meats, salads, wraps, vegetarian options and delicious treats from choice suppliers we see around 300 customers a day Monday through Friday and are currently trading lunches from 11:30 to 14:30.
As a Front of House and till operator you will be involved in customer service, venue operations and management, food service as well as there being a Thursday and Friday night cocktail bar and evening menu should you want more hours.
We are developing our offsite and event catering business so further opportunities for work and development are available for the right candidates.
Walter and Monty is a few steps away from opening new sites and looking to grow further, much much further. This represents great opportunities for growth and development for the right, hard working, passionate and all round lovely individuals.
We are looking for people to commit to Monday to Friday from 10:00-15:00, perfect for those who may be studying in the evenings, we are flexible of course.
We pay an hourly wage of £8.50 and will review performance after a 3 month probation, then on an ongoing basis to help development, skills and of course the all important pay check!
We are looking for individuals with experience in food retail/service, restaurant or any sort of hospitality/retail operations. Think Pret, Itsu, multi-site food and beverage operators for example.
Experience in a similar environment, previous training etc will all be beneficial.
Immediate start (Monday 3rd Dec ideally)
