Work for a Charity with a difference. Spinal research charity Wings for Life UK, www.wingsforlife.com, is looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join their UK Team. As the title charity partner of Red Bull, this job offers a unique opportunity to get involved in the charity sector within a corporate setting. Based out of Red Bull’s UK headquarters, you would be part of a small team where you will be play a pivotal role in supporting the CEO with financial and governance matters. In order to strengthen our team we are looking for a Finance & Governance Manager who supports the CEO for circa 1 day per week with financial, governance and additional administrative tasks.
- Review existing procedures with a view to streamlining and improving financial processes
- Updating and tracking science payments
- Monthly income and expenditure tracking and reporting, adding to Raisers Edge database
- Support with budget setting
- Support with gift aid claims
- Invoicing and paying suppliers
- Managing SAGE accountancy software (e.g. uploading transactions, reconciliations, period closing, reporting…)
- Banking cash and cheques
- Cash flow management
- Staff payroll and expenses
- Manage staff pension policies
- Support with administration of staff benefits
- Support with year-end audit
- Point of contact for HMRC
Ideally ACCA/CIMA fully or part qualified - OR AAT qualified with previous relevant charity work experience
Previous experience in a broad finance role essential (ideally sole role)
Experience of charity work and SORP a strong preference
High level of numeracy
Attention to detail
MS-Office knowledge, particularly skilled in Excel
Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently
Experience of working with SAGE and Raisers Edge database an advantage
Very flexible and able to work under pressure in a fast paced team environment
Enthusiastic and fun-loving preferred!
