Site Shift Manager â Northampton Distribution Centre

You are a proven leader who takes pride in the development of teams with several yearsâ experience in Distribution Centre Management with a background in high volume retail logistics (in-house or 3PL). You have a proven track record of delivering continuous improvement programs, ideally with exposure to lean logistics principles.

Direct Reports: Warehouse First Line Managers and c.200 Warehouse Colleagues on site
Key Relationships: Senior Operations Managers, General Managers, Warehouse First Line Managers, Warehouse Colleagues, Stock Control First Line Manager, Transport FLMâs, People Business Partner, Store Support Manager
â¢ Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, responsible for all operational and site aspects of a Distribution Centre.
â¢ Maintain a proactive approach to risk management and adherence to site health & safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
â¢ Ensure the operation consistently meets the requirements of the business, in terms of quality, productivity, daily and weekly operations reporting and key performance indicator (KPI) management.
â¢ Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and added value whilst key service levels are not affected.
â¢ Ensuring proactive stock control measures are in place and that detailed loss analysis is completed in full.
â¢ Responsible for developing a collaborative relationship with internal teams & suppliers to ensure that communication within the operation is consistent.
â¢ Continue the development of the teamsâ leadership behaviours.
â¢ Action oriented with a proven track record of managing and delivering change within a fast moving distribution environment.
â¢ Knowledge and experience of materials handling equipment, together with warehouse management systems.
â¢ Managed service level agreements (SLAâs) and key performance indicators (KPIâs.)
â¢ A proven leader who takes pride in the development of teams.
â¢ Managed budgets and negotiated contracts.
â¢ Has knowledge of wider aspects of the supply chain.
â¢ Implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

â¢ Up to Â£43,000 per annum including shift premium (dependent upon experience)
