Support Worker in Chestfield

Enthusiastic, outgoing female required to support a 22 year old female with mild cerebral palsy and some challenging behaviour. Our client enjoys a full and active life and requires support to achieve and partake in activities.

What are you going to do

Duties will include but not exclusive of:

  • Encouraging and motivating our client with tasks to increase her independence e.g cooking and domestic duties, assisting where necessary.
  • Some assistance with personal care such as hair styling.
  • Escorting our client on activities such as shopping trips/Gym/Swimming/Cinema/Clubs and festivals. Her Fiance may also be present on some occasions.
  • Assisting with planning our clients day and encouraging with therapy such as physio exercises.
  • Encouraging a healthy and balanced diet.
  • Assisting where necessary with budgeting and day to day finances.
  • Helping our client to regulate her behaviour where necessary e.g explaining when/why behaviour is inappropriate, planned ignoring of attention seeking behaviour.
  • Must have own car to escort our client in community based activity.
  • Role Subject to 2 references and enhanced DBS clearance.
  • Bank contract to cover hours where necessary.
