Technology Project Manager in Bradford

We’ve got a great opportunity for a Technology Project Manager to join our Infrastructure & Operations team. This role is based at our head office in Bradford. It's an exciting time to join this fast paced work environment.

You’ll be responsible for the implementation of a range of IT enabled projects, ensuring target benefits to Morrisons are realised, maintaining the integrity of quality, speed and cost.  Your remit will also include planning, managing and delivering infrastructure asset replacements in one of the following; cloud migration solutions; network upgrades; Wifi installations; client hardware / software solutions; Data centre remediation; Security solutions.

What will I do?

Responsible for planning, managing and delivering infrastructure asset replacements in one of the following; cloud migration solutions; network upgrades; Wifi installations; client hardware / software solutions; Data centre remediation; Security solutions etal you will:

• Work across the business but focusing on Infrastructure Services as outlined above. Coordinating with IT and external partners to develop, agree and execute a detailed plan

• Provide Project Management skills in the overall project including defining the implementation strategy,  project planning, risks/issues management, stakeholder engagement, resource management, oversight of application, infrastructure, Service transition, support and business readiness.

• Form strong working relationships with Business and IT, matrix managing teams to ensure successful execution of the implementation

• Be responsible for planning and executing cutover rehearsal and back out rehearsal activities.

What skills and qualifications do I need?

The ideal candidate will:

• Be an experienced IT Project Manager with a track record of delivery

• Have experience of large technology operations

• Have experience of delivery within Technology infrastructure

• Key but not mandatory, experience of migrations from on-premise data centres to private and public cloud arrangements

• Must have excellent stakeholder management skills particularly with Senior Management

• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills

• Demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure

• Can deal with an ever changing and demanding Retail environment and applies strong change control within an ambiguous and changing landscape.

• Can lead their teams to deliver in a challenging multi supplier environment

• Experience of working in both Waterfall and Iterative delivery methodologies

• Have experience of working within different governance frameworks
