Role: Fleet Technical Engineer (Structures)

 

Location: Manchester with limited travel to support off site maintenance

 

Working Hours: 37

 

Job Purpose: To provide a professional, effective and productive engineering/technical service in support of the Company`s Business and Contracted Customers as a member of the Engineering Services team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Structural defect analysis providing assistance/guidance with repairs and/or modifications
  • The assessment and management of Service bulletins, Regulatory Authority information and Airworthiness Directives
  • Providing Engineering advice and support to Customers in line with the Customer Contracts
  • Monitoring of aircraft serviceability and providing technical assistance in AOG situations
  • Assisting Maintrol with out of hours technical issues
  • Providing technical assistance to Production, Line and Planning departments
  • Conducting surveys and compiling reports as may be required on Aircraft

 

Key Performance Indicators:

 

  • Service Bulletin and Airworthiness Directive Assessments
  • Completion of Structural Repair files

 

Capabilities Profile – technical skills/knowledge, experience & track record.

 

Must have:

  • Detailed and practical knowledge in aircraft structures
  • Proven team working player with individual strengths
  • Good communication skills/IT skills use of Microsoft office
  • Ability to multitask
  • A degree of flexible working
  • Ability to work to challenging timescales
  • Proven relevant experience

     

Preferred:

  • Experience of working within an Airline/MRO Technical Services or Part 145 structural environment
  • Structural defect analysis and rectification
  • The ability to provide technical assistance to all areas within the GMO

     

Qualifications, Training, Professional Memberships or Accreditations

 

  • Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship
  • Hold an EASA Part 66 B1 licence or equivalent
