About the role

Tesco Maintenance are currently looking to a recruit a Technical Support Manager to work as part of the Maintenance Support Team. At Tesco, our stores and offices couldn’t function without the support of our Maintenance Team. The Technical Support Manager is accountable for leading a team of Service Support Engineers. Motivating and supporting the team in delivering high quality technical support to our colleagues throughout Tesco Maintenance. Working in partnership with colleagues across the business to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and work as part of a wider team to deliver these improvements to our stores.

You will be responsible for
  • Making Tesco a great place to work and shop.
  • Leading a team to provide remote technical support for proactive diagnosis of maintenance problems to bring them to a permanent and timely solution.
  • Using knowledge and insights to identify and improve operational problems throughout the Refrigeration & HVAC, Store Equipment and Brand technical field teams.
  • Identify opportunities to deliver operational improvement and value added benefits through trend analysis.
  • Ensuring all people policies and procedures are met.
  • Developing and leading a high performing team, giving them the opportunities to be their best.
  • Managing my budgets effectively, always being cost conscious.
  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence.
  • Leading a team of 12 x Technical support engineers.
You will need
  • 5 years’ experience of working in Maintenance or Engineering environment
  • Health and Safety Management
  • People Leadership and Development
  • Experience in budget management.
  • Influencing and Stakeholder Management Skills
  • Comfortable in using the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Data Analysis.
  • UK driving licence
