Student Services Intern in Oxford

As an intern you will be responsible for assisting the student services and accommodation coordination team. The focus in general is on delivering great service to our students at all times by providing product and service information, resolving product and service problems with an outcome that the student appreciates, and by ensuring each students experience with EC and their accommodation exceeds their expectations.

What are you going to do

  • Providing excellent customer service in a customer-facing role
  • Administrative office duties
  • Responsible for assisting with the efficient running of the accommodation function including the allocation of residences and homestay within the agreed timeframe set down by company policy
  • Inputting of bookings into EC's central booking system • Preparing different kinds of lists by using Excel and Publisher
  • Assists with the planning, implementation and promoting of student activities assisting students with their requirements in this area
  • Ensuring the smooth delivery of student "firsts" including airport transfers, welcoming students on arrival at residences and if appropriate liaising with our homestay delivery partner to assign the "best fit" homestay family
  • Helping students with any issues they may have within the school and solving them

This internship will give you great insight in to office work, and an opportunity in assisting with the running of a successful business. Adequate training to perform your job to the correct standard will be provided. You will have full support in this role throughout your internship and work closely with a small team. Upon completion, you will then be certified by an EC Certificate of Completion. Above all, it is a great opportunity to interact with people from various countries / cultures and also to practice written and spoken business English. Your workplace will be at the heart of the EC Oxford Centre at the reception.

What we ask:

  • At least finished college A levels
  • Customer service experience would be considered an asset but is not essential
  • Undergoing or has undergone a university degree or a diploma
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken – should be at least B2 level, preferably C1
  • Additional language skills preferable
  • Ability to take own initiative
  • Motivation to ensure students have the best “EC Experience”
  • Eye for detail
  • Client focused
  • Ability to work in the UK
