We are a small festival catering company - and have been at Glastonbury for over 20 years. We are vegetarian/vegan and have a noodle bar, and a vegetarian Pizza stall - called Pizza YEAH YEAH - this is wood fired homemade pizza. We are looking for Pizzaiolo's who can make high quality pizzas the old fashioned way! It great fun there is great group of young staff (mainly students). It is hard work, but good for making lasting friends, and seeing some bands! The event runs from Weds to Sunday - you'd need to arrive Tuesday or before. You'll need to be hardy, adaptable, and not mind a bit of mud, as well as some camping!
You'll be prepping ingredients, making up pizzas to order and cooking them, serving customers, work is in shifts, but can be late into the evening. You'll be responsible for maintaining a high quality of product. You'll also be managing the wood fired ovens and helping out where needed. You'll be liaising with the manager to ensure stock levels are adequate, and ensuring that we maintain health and hygiene standards. You'll need a level 2 certificate (easy to update) and be happy to work in a busy and dynamic environment.You'll be camping behind the stall, and you'll get free food etc from the stall as needed. You'll need plenty of clean clothes, and appropriate footwear for working outdoors. You will need to clean as you go. The ability to work under pressure is important too!
