Role: Continuing Airworthiness Engineer (Aircraft Transitions)

 

Location: Manchester

 

Working Hours: 37.5

 

Job Purpose: To manage the Airworthiness Review Certification process for all aircraft being imported to and exported from the Thomas Cook Group Airlines Fleet and support the Head of Airworthiness maintain the continued airworthiness of the Thomas Cook Airlines Ltd fleet.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Provision airworthiness advice and management of all airworthiness related tasks such as aircraft import and export.
  • Liaison with Regulatory Authorities, Manufacturers and Vendors on all airworthiness matters.
  • Monitoring of repetitive defects and aircraft reliability.
  • Management of AMP compliance with regulation for all imported/exported aircraft.
  • Provide airworthiness advice and support to all departments in partner airlines.
  • Management of all airworthiness related issues for the airlines aircraft transition programme.
  • Oversight of all airworthiness activities of the subcontracted CAMO and contracted maintenance organisations for sub-leased out and dry leased in aircraft.
  • Ability to travel overseas to support aircraft import/export inspection activity.

     

Key Performance Indicators:

 

  • Maintenance of continued airworthiness.
  • Regulatory compliance.
  • Maintenance of Aircraft Certificate of Airworthiness

 

Capabilities Profile – technical skills/knowledge, experience & track record.

 

Must have:

  • Demonstrable experience managing in Part M environment.
  • Knowledge of OEM technical publication systems.
  • Detailed knowledge of EASA regulation.
  • Understanding of applicable foreign airworthiness regulation.

     

Preferred:

  • MEDA Investigation experience.
  • ARC Form 4.

     

Qualifications, Training, Professional Memberships or Accreditations

 

  • EASA Part 66 licence or Aeronautical Engineering Degree.
  • Ability to meet the requirements of M.A.707 Airworthiness review staff.
