About the role

Tesco Maintenance have a great opportunity for a Workflow Administrator to join the Maintenance Support team at the National Operating Centre. At Tesco, our stores and offices couldn’t function without the support of our Maintenance Team. Technician Planners coordinate and plan maintenance activities through the EAM System and drive effectiveness of weekly technician work queues and contractors to achieve maximum equipment availability.

You will be responsible for
  • Organising and planning contractor attendance for the work the internal teams can't complete.
  • Challenging contractors to deliver their service within agreed timelines.
  • Providing timely support for colleagues to ensure clarity around the quotation process.
  • Being the ‘go to’ person to provide updates on the approval progress and liaising with others to remove blockers and issues.
  • Working with the wider internal service teams and external contractors to deliver value for money.
  • Managing workload and resources effectively.
  • Understanding facts and have accurate data to help the business place the customer at the heart of the everything we do.
  • Reviewing planned work against known projects to ensure wise investment. 
  • Looking for opportunity to ‘use our scale for good’ within the local community.
You will need
  • Maintenance and/or engineering experience
  • Experience working in customer service
  • Experience working remotely
  • Good time management
  • The ability to build relationships quickly
  • Good communication skills
  • An awareness of cost and budget controls
  • Exposure to IT services e.g. Verisae
  • An awareness of up to date Health and Safety measures

Ideal additional skills include:

  • Experience handling multiple projects at one time or working in a fast moving maintenance department
