The Canvas Co are always on the look out for talented, hardworking and responsible individuals to join our team. Whether its creating a boutique village at festivals across Europe or managing outdoor events of all sizes, we would love to hear from you. We are looking for enthusiastic, resourceful and physically fit crew members to join our team over the summer at a broad range of music festivals and events. Do you enjoy working outdoors in all conditions with other peeps, to tight deadlines? This is a great entry level role for individuals interested in moving into live events or event management or indeed those at university or on a gap year who like music festivals.
Their is 2 options for this role, we have (Almost) full time summer roles available, starting in June and finishing in September. And we also require short time single event site managers. Please get in contact for more info.
A natural self-starter you will relish a challenge; As a motivating and patient people manager you will not be afraid of long hours and working on-site throughout the festival season. Familiar with the culture of the event industry with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
Our build and break team members work to create The Canvas Co's luxury accommodation, this includes the setting up and dismantling of accommodation and working to tight schedules in all weather conditions. This is a very physically demanding job.
Our front of house managers will be responsible for the main reception at our events, meeting and greeting customers, making sure they are looked after and have the greatest experience possible while staying with us. A varied role that is (almost) full time through out the summer.
Our front of house team will also help with the finishing touches in our luxury accommodation, helping with the build 1 day before and the first day of breakdown after the event.
For all events we provide our working crew all meals on the working days. On the larger events this is a full time role but with the smaller events (crews) it isn't, so a team attitude is vital and the desire to want to muck in and help the build crew rather than putting your feet up is expected.
To work with us you must attend our training weekend that will be held on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th May, it will start at 10am Friday, you will stay over for the night in the tents you have put up, and finished and free to go home about 3pm on the Saturday. We are located near Macclesfield.
