Billings & Edmonds was established in 1896 and is one of the UK's oldest and most respected Schoolwear Outfitters, serving over 40 Schools, including Eton and Harrow. The company has seven stores and there are seasonal vacancies based in Eton (SL4 6AR), Harrow (HA1) and Chiswick (W4).
The position involves a number of varied roles, but the key responsibilities are the retail tasks, such as serving customers, processing stock and administrative duties.
You must be well spoken and presentable. Our discerning customers expect high levels of customer service and service is key to our Company's enduring success. Our Sales Advisers are the first point of contact for our customers, offering an exceptional service that we are proud of and ensuring nothing is too much trouble for the customers they serve. They are enthusiastic, with a can do attitude, and enjoy working in the busy and demanding world of schoolwear retail.
Our Sales Advisers use their knowledge of our Schools to ensure each customer is sold the correct uniform and sportswear for their child in the appropriate size. They fulfil customer orders placed online and by telephone, as well as on the shop floor. The Sales Advisers strive to deliver the best possible service at every opportunity, whether on the telephone, on the shop floor or in the fitting rooms, every customer matters to us.
A strong attention to detail through careful use of the School Uniform Lists, precise identification of correct garments, thorough checking of stock levels and keeping our displays immaculate and well replenished is vital. Equally, an ability to demonstrate initiative and a flexible approach are qualities which help create the best possible shopping experience.
