IT Analyst (Finance / Tax)

Main duties and responsibilities:
The job involves work in all phases of the projects’ life-cycle (inception, analysis, design, development, testing and deployment). Work will focus on new Finance applications, enhancements to existing applications, and modifications to Finance applications.

Job responsibilities include preparing analysis documentation, creating use case documentation, working with off shore development teams, working with cross functional business and IT teams, working with users to create Process Flow Diagrams, identifying business problems and their solutions through the use of tools such as DMAIC, application testing and test case issue management using tools such as Test Director. Candidate may work on independent projects or as part of a larger cross-functional project team.

The selected candidate will work closely with both IT project teams and Finance business users to create solutions to business problems. Eventually this person will become the Finance IT subject matter expert (SME).

Skills required:
• Typically requires BS degree or equivalent
• 6 or more years of experience implementing, and or supporting the Oracle Financials AR module. OM, GL, AP, PO, FA is desired (Techno/functional)
• Extensive experience working on an Oracle 8i/9i databases as well as Data Warehouses and SQL/PLSQL
• Experience with implementing or supporting global Finance systems(particularly in EMEA)
• Knowledge of Kintana/PVCS software
• Works independently on large cross-functional and global projects.

Desired skills:
• Understanding of OO analysis and design techniques.
• Understanding of data analysis and modeling tools and process modeling tools.
• Able to act as a change agent.
• Program/Project management skills.
