We’re looking for someone to join the Online team as a Senior Operations Manager- Home Delivery. Based in the field in our Southern Region this is a permanent role.
This is an opportunity for someone to lead, coach, direct and support the Home Delivery function in stores within the region to ensure the delivery of high operational and customer standards. This will include building great service ethos with colleagues, consistent operating routines, strong support network with wider retail teams and ensuring that service to customers is best in class satisfaction levels, achieved by excellent on time deliveries and door step service.
In the role of Senior Online Manager you’ll do things like this;
Visit stores and help improve ways of working
Develop and support (relevant) improvement plans, to drive satisfaction
Coach and mentor Home Delivery Managers and Store Managers, to understand what great service and operations in an online context means
Led the readiness of new stores, that will launch with Home Delivery operations, ensuring strong routines are in place across the wider store
Work with the wider Retail Field Team, to identify opportunities, improve consistency and share best practice
Make sure that all stores adhere to operation requirements, health and safety and legal requirements, to provide a 1st class environment for customers and colleagues
Provide regular clear concise communication of action plans, progress, performance and priorities within the Home Delivery teams motivating, re-prioritising and gather ideas in a simple engaging manner
You’ll need skills and experience like this to be a success;
Extensive knowledge of the supermarket industry and best practice
Ability to build and maintain an effective network contracts
Current understanding of an online retail business
Ability to influence outcomes and problem solve at a senior level
In depth experience of people management in an operational setting
Ability to develop strategy and translated into operational plans
Proven experience of leading in a large complex retail environment
