Supply Chain and Sales Assistant - Internship (University Placement) in Brighton

What are you going to do:

This is an excellent opportunity for a student to gain valuable experience in a growing business.

Greenfrog Botanic is based in the NatWest Accelerator, Brighton. We sub-contract manufacture of liquid soap bodycare products, based on soap originating from trees in the Himalayan mountains, using only botanical ingredients.

We then market and distribute in the UK and overseas. For 2019 we are driving NPD, on lines sales and large scale individual orders. It really is a very exciting time.

Our place in Brighton's NatWest Accelerator is great. We benefit from their innovative, entrepreneurial office area - receive business support and guidance to quickly accelerate in an enabling atmosphere of other fresh up and coming businesses. An excellent opportunity.

You will develop;

  • New business development and customer care.
  • Care of certain significant purchases including import.
  • New Product Development
  • Stock management related activities.
  • Carry out some customer facing tasks.
  • Involvement in marketing projects.

The candidate will be directly supervised by the Company Director in a small team set up and really contribute to the companies pipeline and channels to market. An opportunity to learn and contribute in an enabling environment - instrumental to business growth.

If you are a full time student at the University level, you can gain relevant work experience as a module, further adding strength to your CV. You can also further develop your skills in a commercial context. If you have a flair for business development and NPD then this could be for you.

You will believe in ethical and healthy product lifestyle, be motivated, take initiative and plan your time. You must have flair to negotiate best prices for buying and selling and have a good nose and instinct for product development and sales.

Essential is a outgoing personality, friendly demeanor and the ability to deal with and manage all types of work, driven by doing a good job and sales.

Suitable for UK based student (Fluent in English), at local Universities of Brighton or Sussex, or further afield, who wants to put their CV ahead of their competitors in job application stage.

Working days are flexible to fit in with your lecture and study requirements however we are looking for approx. 15 + hours per week.

You will work 3-5 days a week, for 3 months or more, starting June 2019. The candidate will be expected to work from NatWest accelerator office hub on Preston Road, Brightonand occasionally from Greenfrog Botanic office in Hove. There is some flexibility for home working also.

This is an unpaid internship, however there is a lunch allowance of £5 per day provided + travel expenses. You will need to be financially self sufficient for the duration of the internship.
