Summer Intern: Software Developer/QA Engineer in Cambridge

As a Summer Intern with Stratasys not only will you gain invaluable insight into software development and 3D Printing, you will also be supporting the design, development and delivery of software used by some of the most well-known organisations in the world. The successful candidate will join a global QA team in a fast-paced environment developing a range of desktop and cloud-based software products for the world leader in 3D Printing.

37 - 38 hours per week
Between £7.70 and £11.00 Per Hour

What are you going to do:

The ideal candidate will be in their penultimate year of university, with demonstrable skills in programming with JavaScript or TypeScript.

THE ROLE:

You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary scrum team working on continuous integration. The responsibilities of the role can be divided into the following areas:

  • Manual testing of Pull Requests, including creating and executing manual test plans and exploratory testing (30%)
  • Designing/Implementing automated test cases (30%)
  • Reviewing Requirements/Specifications (20%)
  • Other (20%).

Our automated test frameworks and test cases currently use the following:

  • JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, SQL, TeamCity, Amazon Web Services, Maven, TeamCity, Powershell.

Our Manual test cases use:

  • TestRail
  • JIRA
  • GrabCAD Workbench.

QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates interested in joining Stratasys as an Intern will have:

  • Education: Ideally studying a Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering or related. (this is not mandatory)
  • You must currently be enrolled in full time study
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A keen interest in Software /Software Development
  • Must be a self-starter who works equally well independently and in a team environment
  • A good understanding of Python and/or SQL would be beneficial
  • An understanding of CAD/Manufacturing/3D Printing is beneficial
  • An understanding of UI design and Usability is an advantage
  • A strong academic track record
  • The right to work in the EU without sponsorship
  • Commitment to a 10/12 week full-time role
