We’ve got a fantastic opportunity for a Technical Analyst (Quality Assurance) Days & Lates to join our Flaxby manufacturing site near Harrogate. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will monitor and audit the production process for food safety, legal and quality; ensuring that conformity and non-conformity are communicated, followed up and closed off.
The job is 5 over 7 days, full time. Working pattern is routinely Monday - Friday working lates typically 2pm-10pm
Requirements for the job
As a Technical Analyst - Quality Assurance you will ensure that the site’s legal status as a supplier of a major retailer is maintained. You will audit process and procedures, applying any corrective action where non-conformance is found. You’ll investigate any food safety incidents applying root cause analysis and ensure that the day to day site technical function is achieved. You will support the site during any external accreditation such as BRC and Morrisons Manufacturing Standards and ensure the site production team is supported during the launch of any new product lines.

You’ll need a keen eye for detail and the confidence to challenge with a proactive and ‘can do’ attitude. You will be a team player and an effective written and face to face communicator with good PC skills, including Google Suite. You will also have food experience in a technical or similar type role. Ideally you will have a HACCP qualification or a food safety qualification. Hygiene experience is desirable.

Flaxby is the home to 250 colleagues and processes around 400 tonnes of onions and carrots per week. It also delivers direct to around 64 stores.
