We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENDCo) to join our passionate team. As the SENDCo at Buzz Learning, you will play a pivotal role in leading the provision of Special Educational Needs (SEN) support across the school and college. You will work collaboratively with staff, students, and external agencies to ensure the inclusive education and holistic development of all learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and review of the SEN policy and provision in line with statutory requirements and best practice.
  • Coordinate the identification, assessment, and provision of support for students with special educational needs, ensuring their individual needs are met effectively.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to staff to enhance their understanding of SEN principles and best practices.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement personalized learning plans for students with SEN.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEN provision, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance outcomes for students.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a recognized SENCo qualification.
  • Proven experience working as a SENCo or in a similar SEN leadership role within a school or college setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEN legislation, policies, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, parents, and external agencies to support the diverse needs of learners.
