We are seeking to recruit a Digital Communications Intern (Work Experience) to join our Active Communities team.
This is an ideal opportunity for anyone interested in working within the charity sector and who is looking to gain valuable digital communications experience. Ideally you will have good skills in the following areas; communication, IT, customer service and planning and organising.
In return for your time and commitment you will have the opportunity to gain experience of working within the operations, commercial and health and wellbeing teams who deliver award-winning community programmes within Southampton and surrounding areas.
In addition, you will gain an understanding of leisure, health and wellbeing and community sport development industries, along with the importance of leading healthy and active lives.
This exciting and pivotal role will report to various members of the Active Communities leadership team throughout the internship and you be involved in:
You should have a strong interest in promoting healthy and active lifestyles and the ability to communicate, via digital channels, with diverse members within local communities. You might have studied in a Communications-related field and will be familiar with various methods of digital communication and be keen to use those methods to carry out campaigns and articulate results. You should be self-motivated and able to work independently, whilst also functioning well as a vital member of the team. An enthusiasm to get stuck in on project work and adapt to a rapidly-changing environment is key.
