About the job
We’re looking for a Playground Installer to join our team and we have both temporary summer jobs and permanent positions available. Training and progression opportunities will be available for the right candidate.
The job involves installing playgrounds in schools and public parks, it is a varied and engaging role; no two days will be the same. You’ll be responsible for ensuring work is delivered to the highest quality and in line with the project brief. This involves engaging with clients, interpreting technical drawings, following installation instructions and thinking on your feet. Thoughtfulness, passion and a sense of humour are essential.
Due to the nature of our work, the role is physically demanding and will require the successful candidate to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Travel throughout the North of England (and sometimes further afield) will be required, sometimes staying away for a number of nights at a time.
About you
You have experience in landscaping / groundworks / joinery or similar trades (maybe even playground installation) and are able to demonstrate competence in using a variety of hand and power tools.
You’re a people person with good communication skills, general maths / technical skills and a strong, flexible work ethic. Your colleagues would describe you as honest, reliable and conscientious.
