  • You

You’re a caring, can-do person with experience working in building maintenance. Ideally, some of that has been gained in a care home setting. You’ve got a good basic education with GCSEs (or the equivalent) including English and Maths. As well as being very practical, you like dealing with people. Faults must be reported and actioned promptly. We’ll also expect you to keep the grounds looking tidy and carry out general redecoration work. As our Maintenance Person, you’ll be a valuable member of our friendly, close-knit team, promoting the well-being of our residents and the successful running of our care home.

    About Care UK

We run over 120 homes and day clubs across the UK. We provide residential, nursing, dementia and end-of-life care for older people. As one of the UK’s leading care home providers, our goal is to help every employee fulfil his or her potential – with first-class training and support.

  • Where you'll work
  • Honeysuckle House is a welcoming care homeset in a leafy residential area of Palmers Green in north London.

Our friendly team provides specialist residential and nursing care for older people with Alzheimer's and other types of dementia. We offer personalised care and engaging activities based on residents' individual needs, interests and preferences. Our homely atmosphere helps everyone to feel settled and happy. Residents' comfort and health is our top priority and we treat each person with dignity and respect.

At Honeysuckle House, we value residents’ ideas and encourage everyone to take part in making decisions about the home. So when we redecorate, we find out what residents would like and we keep them up to date with progress. We also offer lots of support to residents' loved ones and we've got a wonderful network of families and friends who contribute to the daily life of the home, for example by helping to plant hanging baskets and containers to keep our garden looking fresh and bright.
