Deals We work on some of the most high profile deals in the market, across a wide range of clients and sectors. Financial Decisions and Analysis (FDnA) sits within the Transaction Services team in Deals, to support private equity firms, investment funds and corporate clients through mergers, acquisitions and disposals. We advise throughout the business life cycle, including pre-deal, during deal execution and post deal.
FDnA FDnA is Deals’ Modelling and Analytics Centre of Excellence, one of PwC’s highest growth teams. We focus on the application of leading edge modelling and analytical techniques to help our clients make good decisions and solve problems.
We’re now looking to recruit a number of graduates to join our team to support our continued growth. We’re looking for people with a commercial mindset who can quickly get to the crux of business issues and can deliver commercial insight to our clients and enhance the Deal value through compelling analysis.
Every assignment is different, but we broadly define our offering under the key headings;
Deal Modelling - increasing confidence in the deal by developing operational, financial and LBO models or by providing independent model assurance for some of the largest transactions Deal Analytics - providing quantitative insights in the deal process for example into, customer behaviours, sales and marketing effectiveness, costs to serve and product profitability Post Deal - driving performance transparency (cash forecasting, strategic planning, and reporting) and value creation to support the investment thesis through a technology enabled approach to for example margin optimisation, strategic options analysis and operational effectiveness
What you’ll need to get in If you’re naturally inquisitive, have an analytical mind and enjoy solving problems in a rigorous and logical manner, then this is the role for you. Within this role, you will be engaging directly with senior members of our clients, solving their business problems and helping them generate value.
To be considered you must have a minimum of a 2 1 degree in a technical, analytical or numerate based subject (e.g. Maths, Computational Sciences, Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Accounting and Finance etc) and be able to evidence experience through academic study or work placements in one or more of the following competency areas
Data Analytics Big Data Data Modelling Data Science
A postgraduate qualification in any of the above is desirable, but not essential.
You’ll need to be motivated and determined, with a passion for technology and new tools to analyse data and learn how to use this to provide insight and advice to our clients. You’ll also need to be flexible about where and how you work, with an ability to manage time, prioritise tasks and work under tight deadlines in time pressured environments.
