Job Summary
As an Operations Manager you’re responsible for supporting and enabling the
business by driving operational excellence in store. Accountable for Stock Control,
H&S, Security, Administration the Operations Manager is responsible for
ensuring the smooth running of all the basic stock and staffing operational
elements of their location, as guided by the Retail Manager and/or Business
Manager.
The Operations Manager will
constantly re-assess and implement ways of providing the business with
processes that contributes to effectiveness and efficiencies through offering
exceptional service to all levels of the organization. They willgenerate effectiveness through thinking strategically, working in collaborationwith the Management team and retail partners and strive for excellence inexecution. Your other duties include butare not limited to the maintaining of all team development and managementrecords, business records and managing stock and protecting company assets. As part of the Management Team you will needto be flexible to coach and manage on the shop floor when needed in order tocontribute during peak times.
Drive Retail Sales Performance
Ensureexceptional standards with the stockroom and back of house areas areconsistently maintained to a high standard.
Analyse,review and implement processes to continuously improve and contribute to businesseffectiveness.
Maintainappropriate inventory levels and ensure challenges are communicated andrectified.
Deliverregular communications to the business and teams as needed with regards tostock levels in order to optimise sales.
Supportthe business to drive sales and profitability through implementation andmaintenance of efficient stockroom management and work practices.
Put inplace practices to reduce shrinkage and loss within Retailer / Brand guidelines
Deliver 5 Star Customer Service
Ensure that the workcarried out is completed to a very high standard, meeting customer expectationsat all times. Liaising with your team regularly to communicate work flow andpriorities.
Work in collaboration with the Retail Manager toensure efficient scheduling and rotaing of the team, ensuring your resource levelsoptimise service, sales and profitability.
Support the Management Teamin the effective planning and implementation of any Marketing & Eventsactivities.
Coach and manage Customer Service and sales floor operations instore in the absence of a Manager.
Develop and Manage Talents andCapabilities of the team
Recruit, induct, retain and develop yourteam to ensure optimal efficiencies and operational excellence
Organise,plan and maintain accurate management of HR paperwork and developmentdocumentation in a timely manner in line with Company expectations.
Supportwith note taking formal HR meetings where necessary.
Deploy and coordinate team to ensure effective service isavailable at all times whilst maintaining profitability.
Workco-operatively and pro-actively with colleagues at all times.
Ensure retail partners and MAC security policies are understood& complied.
Deliver Retail Operations Excellence
Optimise / monitor stock levels to ensure consistentsupplies within the business
Support all administrationduties of the business to ensure smooth running of all related tasks.
Manage control measures to ensure mistakes,inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted to the Retail Manager, addressedand resolved in a timely manner.
Keep an up to date record of all personnelfiles/records, conducting regular audits of these files where necessary.
Ensure that anypreparations for stocktakes are completed in an efficient and timely manager. Alsoensure that the stocktakes are administered accurately and to companyguidelines.
Ensure that all stores adhere to compliancerequirements in all areas of operational activity, H&S and company policiesand procedures
Maintain a proactive approach to Health and Safety,Environment and Quality.
Support the Management Team to monitor and maintainthe health and safety within the premises to ensure the wellbeing of your team,colleagues, customers and contractors.
