We are looking to recruit 2 Pre-registration Optometrists; one to commence in July and the other September 2020.

The work will involve Refraction of children and adults; Low Vision clinics; contact lens fitting and aftercare; visual fields using Humphrey perimeter; Corneal Topography; Pachymetry; Specular Microscopy and post-op cataract clinics. Regular sessions are arranged in Diabetic eye screening, stable glaucoma and Orthoptic clinics as well as Ophthalmologist’s clinics and in Theatre.

There is a good opportunity to be involved in providing a wide range of services and to get an insight into the expanding role of an Optometrist in a busy hospital environment.

It is essential that you have a degree in Optometry by the date of commencing in post.
