Apprentice Dog Trainer

Apprenticeship 1-2 years on level 2 and/or 3 learning animal care specialising in dog training.

16 - 40 hours per week
Between £4.00 and £9.00 Per Hour

What are you going to do:

The role will include;

Initially studying the core mandatory units for animal care and management and then specialising in either dog training or grooming within our team. You will be hands on with dogs (and cats) from Day 1.  If you don’t have English/Maths Grace C or above then we offer Essential Skills course within the Apprenticeship.

Full-time and part time options available with possible permanent employment at the end of the Apprenticeship.  Shifts are on a rota from 7am, and weekend/holiday availability is compulsory. 

This position is well suited to a person considering a future career in animal care, particularly grooming or dog training.   You will be responsible for cleaning, feeding, walking dogs and helping with grooming/training. 

Apprenticeship wages are set annually in April in line with government scheme:

Under 19 and 1st year = £3.90 per hour / Under 19 and 2nd year = £3.90 per hour / Over 19 and 1st year = £3.90 per hour / Over 19 and 2nd year = National minimum wage
