Overview Hourly Rate: £ Contract: 6 months temporary initially (likelihood to extend to 12 month) Location: Birmingham City Centre, Police HQ Randstad are delighted to be working in partnership with the West Midlands Police in recruiting for the Duty Management team within Shared Services Purpose "The role is itself, is to work within the Duty Management team as a Transactional assistant. This team manage police officers and police staffs which briefly looks after; shift management, leave and holiday queries, overtime, TOIL, flexible working etc. The team have just gone live with a new Duty Management system. Much of your workload will come via CX incidents, emails, telephone calls and web chats, and the department is very customer focused" Responsibilities To assist in the provision of a first class, multi-channel, customer focused Centre of Excellence providing high quality transactional and business support services. To be knowledgeable across all areas within the remit of the role within the Centre of Excellence (policies, processes, systems, service level agreements and performance targets). Be inquisitive and quickly fill gaps in knowledge. Work as part of a collaborative goal orientated team focused on achieving outcomes for customers - both in the Centre of Excellence and as one wider Shared Services team. Respond efficiently and effectively to customer requests for information or service via face to face, email, telephone or by letter. Ensuring that all transactions and services are delivered right first time, on time and in the simplest way in line with Force policy, agreed processes, service level agreements and performance targets. Ensuring the customer experience is at the center of the services delivered. Actively promote the use of self service and new ways of working to customers. Make recommendations for how the service in terms of quality, cost and customer experience could be improved. Actively participate in meetings and make a valued contribution. Criteria Experience of working in a transactional or customer service delivery environment and effectively dealing with customers. Good knowledge of what excellent service delivery looks and feels like. Experience of following set processes, procedures and policies. Experience of working to tight deadlines. Experience of working in a team environment.
