Intern required to join private equity firm
Shadowing and assisting the investment team

What are you going to do:
- Initial appraisal of new investment opportunities: Review proposals against investment criteria Recommend selected proposals for further review
- Procure and collate key business and financial information
- Conduct initial ‘high level’ due diligence – sense check business plans, corroborate market and product/service information.
- Prepare short summary of business & investment opportunity for review by Investment team
- Meet selected businesses: ‘On site’ meetings, visiting the business Initial review meeting, attending with another member of the Investment team
- Q&A, fact finding sessions with management teams (continued appraisal process) Collate information
- Work closely with Investment team to develop and support investment proposals:
- Deal structuring Financial analysis, sensitivity analysis
- Returns analysis Prepare proposal for internal Investment Committee review & sanction
- Post review, prepare and present offers of investment
- Negotiate and agree terms of investment
- Prepare Information Memorandum for potential investors support the legal process and , where necessary, assist in the preparation of EIS applications monitor process and progress (investment & fund raising) through to completion
- Deal origination & marketing: Market IW’s offering to introducers, businesses and to potential investors
- Attend & input into functions designed to generate deal flow
- Follow up deal leads & capture for review process
- Review and monitor deal activity by competitors/comparable PE firms (market intelligence) Ad-Hoc: Data entry Data sourcing Assisting the IW Capital team
