As the Trust is a multi-site organisation you may be required to work at any of the Trust sites and you may need to change your normal place of work, either temporarily or on a permanent basis, as a result of development or reorganisation of Trust services.

We are recruiting staff to support our current workforce, as the NHS prepares for the spread of Covid-19 virus (Coronavirus) and the opening of the Nightingale Hospital at the Birmingham NEC.

We are now looking for Healthcare Assistants with at least 6 months experience in a care environment.

As the UHB In House Staff Bank service, known as UHB Plus, we are able to offer you the flexibility to choose when you work (subject to shift availability) and offer a variety of clinical areas to work in.

In addition to a structured induction programme, successful candidates can undertake the Care Certificate. This involves undertaking both practical and written work to achieve competencies with a required time scale.

To complete this work in the required timescale you will need to commit to a minimum number of shifts. Further details of this will be given at testing and interview.

To be shortlisted for this post, you would need to demonstrate in your application form that you possess the strengths and qualities that we are looking for and demonstrate any relevant experience or transferrable skills.

In addition to demonstrating that you possess the above; applicants who are shortlisted, would be required to attend Literacy and Numeracy Testing
