Interns Needed At Decent Music PR (Work from home)

Length: 3 months. You must be seeking an internship as part of a UK-based higher education course. Decent Music PR is a small but quickly-growing music PR company based in the North-East, UK. Please check out our website. We support emerging and independent artists promote their music on music blogs and Spotify playlists.

1 - 10 hours per week

What are you going to do:

I’m Anna, founder of Decent and I’m looking for an intern to assist with running and growing the Decent social media channels (facebook, instagram & twitter).

The ideal candidate for this role:

  • Will have a love of music and an appreciation for the work artists put into crafting their songs and recordings
  • Have a knowledge of various genres of music, from rock through to pop and beyond
  • Be experienced in creating content for social media channels, and familiar of the differences and similarities between the three platforms
  • Have an experience of using scheduling platforms such as Later, Hootsuite or Buffer (or at least be a quick learner!)

Hours: There are no set hours - this is a highly flexible role where you will be working as and when suits you. We will have weekly Skype meetings and a continual WhatsApp chat where we will set targets and goals and it is up to you when you choose to work towards meeting those each week.

This is an unpaid position, but you will be gaining great knowledge into the world of music PR and marketing, and in return I will help you with your CV, give you any career advice you may need and provide great quality references for you when applying or future jobs. I am a graduate of Oxford University and have done various internships myself in the past, and will therefore respect and value your hard work.

This is very much based ONLINE. Though should you wish and you're based up North (I'm in the North-East, UK) - I'd be happy to meet up if you'd like any careers advice or help with your CV or cover letters etc. in person.
