EPMA Project Manager
An opportunity is available within the Digital Technology Services team (formerly known as the I.T team) in conjunction with the Pharmacy department, for an EPMA Project Manager to initiate and manage the implementation of the EPMA (Electronic Prescribing & Medicines Administration) Project. The post holder will review and agree requirements specifications with key stakeholders, arrange supplier presentations to key stakeholders, manage the procurement process, and ensure the successful delivery of the project across all areas of the Trust.
The post holder will also support the implementation of the EPMA project under the Trust’s Electronic Patient Record (EPR) programme.
The post holder will require the ability to manage a team, work with stakeholders and champion IT and business solutions. Duties will encompass ensuring the day to day delivery of high quality Informatics support services to all BCHC staff, the management of resources, and documentation of knowledge. The post holder should have a customer service focussed approach to service delivery and a proven track record to manage resolution of issues and timely communication with service users.
The successful candidate will also have a broad range of skills in areas such as communication, business analysis and possess an ability to operate effectively with both technical and clinical staff, to support the delivery of better health, better care and improved efficiency.
The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders, which include Pharmacy, clinical staff, Digital Technology and Business Information teams, Procurement and third party suppliers to ensure the selected system contains modern, fit for purpose solutions, with the options to enable integration with emerging technologies and regulations
The post holder will be required to work with the Project team to scope solutions, deployment and early life support, and transition to business as usual.
Personal qualities include good motivational, negotiating and strong communication skills, and work with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
