The Role
The Proofpoint Essentials QA Engineering team implements approaches to enhance software quality across multiple projects. This involves planning and implementation of functional and non-functional testing across the project/features. These activities include testing new product features, identifying and logging bugs/enhancements, retesting fixed bugs, automation testing development to improve bug fixing and regression activities. The QA team works within engineering teams, development, DevOps and UX to contribute to improving and enhancing the overall quality of products and features provided by Proofpoint. The QA team designs, implements and executes Automated tests across multiple technologies in our product platform.
Before your internship is set to begin, an area of test that is not currently covered will be identified. Possible areas may be Automated API, Archive, or a new projects which is created on a quarterly basis. Over the course of your internship you will focus on this test area and work to implement improvements.

Candidate Profile
You have the ability and interest in working full time (40 hours/week) in our Belfast, NI office and are currently on track to achieve 2:1 degree classification upon graduation (2020 new college grads also eligible). This summer internship is scheduled to run for 11 weeks from June – August 2020.
