Job description

Our Risk, Finance and Treasury (RFT) Technology team comprises c.3,500 colleagues operating across the UK, US, India and Czech Republic. We are accountable for the delivery of business change and technology transformation for Risk, Finance and Treasury Functions globally, working in partnership with our business customers to develop and implement long term strategic IT solutions to help achieve Barclays’ strategic goals.


As an Application Developer Lead, you’ll be responsible and accountable for the technical delivery for medium to large scale regulatory projects in Barclays UK Risk, Finance & Treasury functions. This is a hands-on technical leadership role with direct responsibility for the deliveries of the local team with an emphasis on strong cross-region collaboration.

Leading an agile team of developers in credit risk regulatory and compliance data delivery projects
Ensuring the team delivers good quality and maintainable code with high test coverage 
Be hands-on in development, code reviews and unit testing
Contributing towards architecture and design decisions 
Assuming responsibility for the delivery of the projects assigned to the team
Technical delivery in to PROD environment with relevant change requests
Liaising and working closely with the peers within and outside of the team, keeping stakeholders updated on progress against milestones


Proven track record as a Technical delivery and manage teams with excellent change management skills and expertise
Must have experience in Big Data, Data Analytics Programs
Experience in a financial institution with exposure to Regulatory Reporting function and Management Reporting
Familiarity with complex system integration and excellent understanding of the full SDLC lifecycle including both waterfall, agile and DevOps methodologies


Credit Risk banking experience
Regulatory experience (IFRS9/ BCBS) with control and compliance implementations
