The Senior Support Office Manager- Hygiene is a brand new position which will play a key role in raising the profile of Hygiene across our stores as our new priority.
They will continually review cleaning tasks and their frequency across the board to ensure that every element of Hygiene has focus therefore driving excellent standards.
In addition, they will oversee third party cleaning contracts making the providers accountable for their work, supporting the stores and bringing consistently high levels of service. The post holder will become our subject matter expert in Hygiene and work with internal stakeholders and external parties to ensure stores have the right tools to do the job.
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Support Office.
This role is based at our Head Office in Bradford and is a full-time, permanent position, based on a 4 day working week and 13x 6 hour Saturdays per annum. Applicants should reside within a reasonable commuting distance from the office. They may also be required to visit stores across the estate to validate that our standards are being met.
Driving customer confidence in the hygiene standards of our stores making customers want to shop at Morrisons
Working with key stakeholders to determine resources available and required to deliver in the area of hygiene
Owning and governing the Company’s Hygiene agenda
Review and determine whether store cleaning activities are fit for purpose and always work towards making things better for customers and simpler for colleagues, prioritising and challenging where this is not the case
Embed a culture amongst colleagues where everyone understands their own responsibilities and have the confidence to take action where needed
Develops sustainable long term ways of working
A strong appreciation of hygiene, food safety and quality processes in supermarkets or similar at a large organisation involved in food making, at management level, is highly desirable.
A drive to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness and bring others onboard with this view and plan
A significant commercial awareness
Innovative free thinker – finds better ways of executing tasks, an ability to see ‘the bigger picture’
Strong interpersonal skills – ability to negotiate and influence a range of stakeholders and challenge the norm
Able to produce clear and meaningful reports and business plans
Should reside within a reasonable distance from the Bradford office and feel comfortable to travel as needed within the role
