What are you going to do:
This is a flexible opportunity to lead people around the neighbourhoods of South and East London while discussing the culture and history of some of London's most vibrant immigrant communities.
The tour is all about highlighting the diversity of these areas while providing context on British colonial history and how it affected people. You will be able to tailor your tour around the history of immigrant communities and these neighbourhoods to make it an informative yet enjoyable experience.
The Requirements of the role include:
- Friendly and personable- able to story-tell with enthusiasm.
- Excellent communication skills- a background in customer service, sales or hospitality would be a bonus.
- Punctual and reliable.
- A good level of physical fitness as the position requires a few hours of walking.
- Being passionate about causes surrounding anti-racism, ethical travel and colonial history is a bonus.
- A background in history, anthropology, social studies (or similar) and/or community work would be a bonus.
