An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our established Nursing team within the Emergency Department (ED)
The primary base is within the Emergency Department at Ninewells Hospital but depending on the needs of the service you may be required to rotate to the Emergency Department at Perth Royal Hospital.
The ANP role within the ED is a new post and offers an excellent opportunity for Registered nurses to be involved in delivering person centred care while working as an autonomous Practitioner. The post holder will deliver care to patients attending the ED with undifferentiated diagnoses covering illness and injury management. They will have the ability to adapt to changing levels of activity and acuity within the Emergency Department in an autonomous role, exercising advanced practice skills, knowledge and clinical expertise.
The post holder will have proven clinical skills, while demonstrating excellent leadership and communication skills. The post holder will have experience of working effectively across professional boundaries
Evidence of continual professional development within an appropriate clinical setting, the proven ability to work towards Masters Level learning in Advanced Nursing Practice and completion of a qualification as an Independent Nurse Prescriber is essential. Additional learning to gain competence in this post will be provided. Experience at band 6 level in Emergency Care is desirable.
