Due to a new contract win, Major Recruitment are looking to recruit Cleaners to work at the NHS Hospital in Coventry. You will need to be comfortable working in a hospital environment. Working as part of the Cleaning Team, assisting in all aspects of cleaning, housekeeping and laundry related to the provision of Hospital servicing for patients, staff and visitors and ensuring compliance with national standards. Main Duties for Hospital CleanerTo provide Cleaning service assistance on a rota basis, in any part of the Hospital as required.To provide a high standard of domestic service ensuring all service users experience a pleasant, safe, clean and welcoming environment.To respond to immediate request for clean up on wards departments as neededEnsure that all surfaces, fixtures and fittings within the designated work area apart from medical apparatus are kept clean and tidy on a daily basis.Ensure that all sanitary areas, i.e. bathrooms, toilets, sluices and showers are cleaned and sanitized.To clean body fluid spillages in accordance with NHS Infection Control policy and procedures.Ensure all floor surfaces are kept clean.Maintain and clean all equipment used in the carrying out of domestic duties.Report faulty equipment to the designated supervisor. Whilst this is not a complete list, you will be expected to complete any cleaning requirement within the Hospital as required.Hours for this role will be on shift rota and will be spread across the week between 8.00am to 8pm Monday to Sunday.Pay will be between £8.72 per hour.
